Tu es mon genre (Livre numérique)

This one has become my new favourite from Clare Lyndon. Well crafted and structured story with love, loss and cake....what more could you ask for. Not going to spoil the story, but keep an eye out for the cupcakes....... lol

Another good book from Clare Lydon.

Clare Lydon is one of my favourite authors and once again she delivered a heart warming story of second chance love. Maddie left Justine ten years before , without an explanation but now, unexpectedly re enters her life at the funeral of a mutual friend.

With several deaths in my own family and aging parents with health issues I really had my emotions stirred with this story. Especially as Maddie faces the decline in health of her Uncle. I felt Lydon, truely captured the variety in people’s grieving and how it impacts on their everyday life. Although we only had Justine’s point of view, you could feel the heart break of Maddie and Kerry as she struggles with the loss of her husband and the ever closer birth of her fatherless child. I would have liked to have been inside Maddies head, just to balance things out more.

I really liked the thread of the constant inner rambling of Justine’s questioning, of will she ever cry again. A lovely piece of symbolism of her relationship with Maddie. Over all, this story will warm your heart. Even though it’s a story of deep emotions as always it’s filled with Lydon’s humour that I have come to love so much. A wonderful Lesfic Rom-Com of the highest order.
