Twice In A Lifetime (Ebook)

I’m going to be honest, I don’t remember this book because I read it in March 2022. I do however, keep a list of every sapphic book I’ve read. (Over 800) and I rate them from 1-10. Clare has written many 10’s and I wanted to rate one for her after reading her news letter. Although I can’t tell you the specifics about this book, I can tell you I don’t give 10’s easily and I’m quite picky about my second chance romances. It might be my favorite genre, but they’re easy to mess up in my opinion. Like if the reason they broke up the first time is way too dumb or if one person did something too terrible that I don’t even want them to come back from it and so on. So I can tell you the fact that I’ve rated this book a 10 is impressive so you should give it a read.!!

Another cracking good read by Ms Lydon that is bound to be a best seller. It's about when Harriet met Sally ( pun intended by author) 17 years after she has broken Sally's heart by going off to college and breaking up with her because she can't take a long distance relationship. As we find out there is more to it than that. The former best friends only had a short but heated romantic relationship but it has stayed with them both over the years. In fact the chemistry is still very much alive when the two meet again.

Lydon really does write some interesting and amusing characters, Sally and Harriet won't disappoint. Nor will the secondary characters like Sally's Aunt Paula, a force to contend with and her best friend Taylor. I love the way the story flips from present day to 17 years ago and back. Actually I think their early years would make for an interesting novella, just saying 😉.
